House Rules

Children are prohibited near, to operate or load the wood burning stove, oven, outdoor grill, firepit or participate in any activities on the property that could result in injury to them or damage. Guest congregation with other people outside of their specified group, reported at the time of check-in is prohibited and will result in a $75.00 charge for each additional guest per day. Children of any age count as a guest. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed, not to be left unattended at any time, in the cabin, unless crated, or the yard or allowed on furniture and they must be well-mannered. No cats or any other type of animals other than dogs are allowed. An additional $50.00 charge per night, will be assessed for any unreported or additional dogs or other animals found to be staying. An additional cleaning fee of $250.00 may apply as a result of the need for more extensive cleaning, due to damage, scent, or waste that is discovered inside or outside the property. A $25.00 charge will be assessed for each full trash bag left in or outside the property, and for every sink load of dirty dishes discovered. Our standard cleaning fee assessed at the time of booking is $125.00. Smoking or vaping inside the cabin is prohibited and will result in a $250.00 additional charge in the event a scent, ashes, damage or other evidence of this activity is discovered. There is no garage access for vehicles. No crypto mining equipment is allowed to be installed, powered or operated on the property. Any excess amount of utility power used as a result of this activity or other types of equipment being installed and operated, will be billed to the guest. Tampering, modifying or causing any damage to our external security cameras, security system, noise decibel monitors, smoke alarms, modem, router, smart devices, thermostat, electronics, appliances, power breaker box, counters, furniture, beds, kitchenware, decor or any of our property located inside or outside the cabin, is subject to reimbursement for the cost of repair or replacement and could result in eviction. Counters are not to be used as a cutting board. Guest belongings that are left anywhere inside or outside the property, after check-out, will be considered abandoned and discarded or donated unless other arrangements are made for their return at the guest's expense. We are not responsible for any utility outages. Our Bear Escapes II cabin is located in a quiet, private, respectful, and family oriented neighborhood. It is not intended for parties or events. Any such activity will result in immediate eviction without refund and could result in fines up to $5000. Our property is equipped with a noise decibel monitoring system. Guests are to fully abide by all county, city, occupancy, noise, parking, trash, good neighbor ordinances and policies. Quiet hours are daily from 10 PM to 7 AM. Guest compliance with our house rules, rental agreement and good neighbor policy is required to maintain a good relationship with our community. The single-level cabin offers effortless access, with easy parking in the driveway, or in the spare parking area, and no stairs to navigate. Even during the snowy winters pose no big challenge, ensuring easy unloading, loading, arrivals and departures. ©

The fully equipped kitchen is a culinary playground, boasting everything you need from a gas stove to a variety of cooking basics and advancements. Enjoy a sunlit breakfast at the counter or savor a mountain barbecue feast on the outdoor deck, where the serene views enhance every meal and your social experience. Retreat to the two comfortable bedrooms, with newly replaced mattresses, each designed to ensure a restful night's sleep. Additional blankets provide extra coziness, while a dedicated workspace is available for those needing to keep in touch with the outside world. Should further entertainment be desired, each room is equipped with their own smart TV, with secure high-speed Wi-Fi streaming services for unlimited family movie nights anywhere. ©

It's peaceful, quiet, and family oriented with great hiking and biking trails, a neighborhood general store, restaurant and post office within walking distance or a short drive, as well as a recreational park for exercising, basketball, skateboarding on ramps, and other outdoor activities. This cabin is located away from the downtown crowds, yet only striking distance from dining, shopping, slopes, snow play and the Big Bear Lake town! You get the best of both worlds and a unique, relaxing and private experience without all the noise, traffic, hustle and bustle. ©
